In a profound display of humility, respect and allegiance, His Worship the Mayor of uMkhanyakude District Municipality, Cllr Siphile Mdaka, paid homage to His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini at eMachobeni Royal Residence during the sacred uMkhosi woMhlanga.
On behalf of the Council, Management and the people of uMkhanyakude, Mayor Mdaka expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty for his wise and steadfast leadership in safeguarding the customs and identity of the Zulu Nation. He humbly thanked oKandaba for entrusting uMkhanyakude District with the honour of hosting this sacred ceremony of maidens.
Mayor Mdaka further pledged the District's continued loyalty and unwavering support to His Majesty and the Royal Household, committing that the Municipality will always be at the service of the Throne and the preservation of our rich cultural heritage.
His Majesty, in His graciousness, warmly received the Mayor and acknowledged the work of the District in ensuring that the maidens and all guests are welcomed with dignity, safety and honour at eMachobeni.
